It’s important to us that you are completely satisfied with the products you purchase from Scotch and Soda.
- Exchanges and returns are subject to Scotch and Soda’s own discretion.
- Full price items can be returned within 14 days of order receipt.
- Final sale items , promotional items , sale items, can not be refunded or returned within any of your S&S store locations or online/ecom site.
- “Final Sale” Outlet items are those discounted by 60% or greater and marked as “Final Sale” on the product page. “Final Sale” items cannot be returned and are ineligible for refunds or exchanges.
- In store purchases must be returned in store for a credit note or an exchange.
- Please note, we don’t accept returns of Scotch & Soda items purchased from third-party retailers. Please directly contact the third-party retailer where you made your purchase for information on their return policy.
- Please note, Scotch & Soda does not provide price adjustments on prior purchases.
Items returned must be in a sellable condition and is subject to the following conditions:
- Proof of purchase is accompanied with the returned merchandise.
- The merchandise is unworn, unwashed, unused and in its original condition with all original tags intact.
- For hygienic reasons, Barfly fragrance, underwear, socks and swimwear are unable to be returned.
- All “Final Sale” Outlet items cannot be returned and are ineligible for refunds.
We will not accept products for exchange or refunds that are returned incomplete, damaged or soiled or without the original packaging, labels, protective covers and boxes. Please ensure you take reasonable care with the products you wish to exchange or return.
Faulty, damaged or incorrectly described items
We make the best efforts to quality control all items prior to dispatch. In the case that something is faulty, damaged or incorrectly described, please contact our Customer Service team at customercare@scotchandsoda.co.za as soon as possible and include a brief description of the fault.
Refunds
We will refund you the price you paid for the products on the invoice excluding delivery costs, by the method you used for payment. The item will undergo quality control inspection and once approved, a full refund (excluding delivery) will be provided within 3-5 working days. Please ensure you provide the correct banking details for the refund as we can not be held liable for any incorrect details presented by the customer.
You will be notified prior to your purchase that the item you are purchasing is a promotional item and does not carry the exchange or refund terms.
- We do not provide refunds on all “Final Sale” Outlet items purchased on promotion (less 60%)
- We do not provide returns or exchanges on sale and promotional items.
We may also withhold refunds if:
- You did not permit collection of the products as required under these Terms of Sale within the 14 day policy.
- The garments do not pass the quality control standard.

- Once you’re logged in, select “Order History”, then select the order number
- Select the item(s) you want to return and your reason for wanting to return the item
Full price returns
- We offer free returns for all full price items including collection of the item (free of charge)
- Once the item has been received and has completed quality inspection, we can then provide one of the below options:
- An online coupon credit for the value of the item for you to select another item of your choice
- A refund for the total value of the item

All exchanges handled through our customer care service will provide exchanges in the form of an online coupon code for the value of the purchase less the delivery or handling fee. This exchange coupon will provide the flexibility to select any item available on our online store.
- No direct exchanges will be facilitated.
- Online coupons/refunds will only be provided once the garment has passed our quality control criteria and will be offered in accordance with our Returns Policy.
Return or exchange your purchase in one of our stores.
You can return your full price items only that you have purchased online to any Scotch & Soda store for an in-store credit note or size exchange – no refunds.
A representative from the Scotch and Soda store team will contact the Scotch and Soda online Customer Care team to verify the exchange upon your arrival in-store. A copy and print out of the online sales order invoice must be accompanied with the garment on return to the store and our store staff will assess the items and determine whether an in-store credit note or exchange will be offered in accordance with our Returns Policy.

- Only exchanges will be facilitated through the Scotch and Soda store locations – no refunds.
- If the item is on promotion or sale we DO NOT provide in-store credit notes.
- “Final Sale” Outlet items purchased on promotion (less 60%) can be exchanged at our pop-up Outlet store based at 3 Desmond Street Kramerville Sandton (trading hours 9-5pm weekdays and 10-2pm Saturdays).
